Quad-Mode kit: (Current Shipping Version as of 06/11/2006)

Kit includes a new plastic mounting plate (replaces existing plate under nose piece) with 14 LEDs mounted on it and a short ribbon cable pigtail with a connection socket; an 8’ flat ribbon cable with connectors on each end (now long enough to place the controller under the seat, if desired); electronics enclosure with connection socket for attaching ribbon cable; heat-shrink tubing, tie wraps and installation instructions with pictures. Enclosure has a pre-wired 2-conductor power cable (4’ long) and a 4-conductor "mode" cable (The wiring harness now includes connector plugs on the power and "mode switching" cables to allow for easy installation & removal of the controller assembly) and a removable cover. (Cover removal is only needed if you need to replace the processor chip to take advantage of future programming modifications.)

Accessory Options - Power & Mode Select Switches:

Thanks to great customer feedback, we now offer the option of ordering the controller with a pre-wired 4-position rotary mode-selection switch, and an illuminated paddle switch for power on-off applications.

This picture shows both the power switch and the mode-select switch mounted on the heated-grip control panel. Click on the image to see a larger version of the picture.

The on-off switch is an illuminated paddle switch with a Green Indicator LED in the end of the paddle. The switch is a snap-in unit that requires a 3/4" mounting hole and 3/4" depth behind the mounting location. The switch is pre-wired to the power connector for the controller and makes for an easy 2-wire connection to the desired power source for the lights.

Power Switch pre-wired to controller with in-line connector: $30.00

The mode-select switch includes a knob and mounting hardware. The mounting hole for the switch is approximately 3/8" and the body diameter is 1" with a 1" depth behind the mounting location. The mode-select cable is pre-wired to the switch and connected to the controller by its quick-disconnect connector.

Assembly of these boards is all done by hand, so fabrication time can vary, but normal assembly time is about two weeks.

The Blue, White and Purple LEDs are special order and normally add another week to the delivery time.

Standard shipping is by USPS Priority Mail and expedited delivery options are also available.
