I have Jon's dash mount for the 2610, it is fantastic in my opinion. I had the GPS mounted on the left bar prior to the dash mount. The dashmount puts the 2610 up where you don't have to take your eyes off of the road. One of the best changes I have made.
I finally had the chance to put some miles on the bike with the GPS mounted in Jon's dash mount. Did a quick turnaround trip to NE Oklahoma and back Sunday and Monday, 700+ miles. The mount performed flawlessly. I do not have anywhere near the vibration that was present with my homemade handle bar mount. I could read the GPS even on roads with a rough surface. I love having the GPS in the heads up position so I don't have to take my eyes off the road. The GPS speed indication is now more prominent than the speedometer!
Thanks for a great product, Jon

I have installed Jon's bracket on my bro's wing. He loves it. Says it is just right and he bought the bracket site unseen. Real easy install, but you need a 1/2 drill bit to go thru mount and dash. if you install power and cellset. BTW, Jon sells that stuff too.
To date, best set up I have seen. Whenever I might get a GPS, it will be my choice.

I could not be happier. The GPS mount sits snug as a bug in a rug on the dash. Solid, no vibration and no obstruction to my gauges or speedometer. GPS controls are handy and well within reach. I have yet to find a nicer mount anywhere. Installation appeared to be quite straight forward and is clean as a whistle, no dangling wires, no unsightly hardware. Finishes on the mounts seem to be durable (powder coated) and do not take anything away from the clean look of the cockpit.
Ram mounts are nice, but Jon's mounts are incredible. Anybody looking at doing a first install, or looking for an upgrade should consider Jon's mounts. He is just an email away.
JON's mount is the rock. Great value for a great product.

I've had my 2610 for just over a month and really like it thus far. Might be taking my first real trip with it in a week or so. I also have the dash mount from Jon and like the positioning of the unit (don't have to take my eyes off the road) even SO can view it over my right shoulder.

Jon, this is probably not the place to do it but I had to tell you that I installed your dash mount a couple of weeks ago and I love it. Install was fairly easy and it holds my 2610 firmly in place. I've had numerous compliments on it and I have referred them all to you. Thanks for a great product.

Just a heads-up to anyone with a Magellan Roadmate GPS system. If you don't want to bother with RAM mounting the unit, Jon of http://www.goldwinggadgets.com has a dash mounting bracket that works very well. I did use a RAM system for several months but I found the unit to vibrate too much and occasionally lock up. I mounted the bracket with the GPS yesterday and did 150 miles today with no problems at all.
P.S. I may go back to the stock windshield and mount the unit in the higher position.

Jon
Your new mount is GREAT. My 2610 is perfectly situated. Thanks once again for your perfect product.Any and all who are fortunate and wise enough to get one of your Garmin mounts will be a very happy camper.
I know I am, and anyone who is in or around NYC is welcome to come by and see the product for themselves.

Hi Jon,
I just got back from a sensational trip to Alaska! It was everything and more from what I was anticipating!
Part of what made it so great was the use of the GPS and the way it was mounted. I think your mount performed exactly as anticipated. I really am a fan of "in the field of vision" mounting. Since I am a pilot, that concept has been a very real part of my operation. This mount does that wonderfully!
I even found that by swinging the antenna horizontal, I was able to clean the inside of the windshield without removing the GPS from the mount.
I am sure the rubber shock absorbers got a real workout as the washboard gravel roads took their toll on everything. They did a great job. I had to steady the GPS with one had to read it on those occasions.

O.K. I saw it on your website. It looked good. I thought it might be a good mount.
I was wrong. It's not just a good mount, it's great! I have to commend you on coming up with a great mount for a great physical location and it's obvious you did your homework on this! Thanks for coming up with the idea and sharing it!!!!!
Yeah, it's on, it and the Tulsa. I will say that with the Tulsa there are some challenges but I think I can work around them.
Thanks again for all your patience, and my 1,001 questions. The mount really is a piece of work! Nicely done.

Well, have finally got my act together and fitted your mount to the
bike. First off Jon, got to say it is probably the best addition I have put
on the bike (and the previous wing). Of all the bits and pieces I have
fitted yours has to be the most useful - I previously used the toura-tech
bracket on the clutch fluid housing and just didn't like it - your mount is
in a different class.
Have a attached a couple of pictures with it fitted to the bike along with
the Road Angel (more about that in a minute) and the 2610 in place. Both
items are in an ideal line of sight and do not obscure the road in anyway.
I played around with the magnetic plate and have managed to get it all to
work the way it should - I have a tether that I use just in case the Road
Angel comes loose.
Just one thing that might save someone some time when fitting the bracket
the manual tells you to remove the metal bracket that goes over the
windscreen - I didn't remove mine as there is enough slack in it to move it
out the way when you need to remove the windscreen. Other than that it is a
doddle to fit - the template you sent helped as well.
All in all Jon, you have a terrific product there and if I can push it this
side of the water I shall.
Many thanks Jon and if it is of any use please use this email as you see
fit.
Regards,
Phil B.
